Description: Summary
Perform work on assigned aircraft or parts in one or more of the following functions: mechanical, sheetmetal, and avionics required. Tasks included fabrication, repair, and installation of aircraft parts, maintenance and repair of helicopters and support of helicopter specific programs.

Duties: Primary Responsibilities
Conduct bonding checks and completes troubleshooting of electrical installations. Perform operational tests and troubleshoot/repair discrepancies.
? Diagnoses the cause of malfunctions, identifies failures and determines with LUH support team corrective action to restore systems to required operating specifications and standards, within AE delegated authority. Perform corrective actions as authorized and directed.
? Maintain close working relationship with assigned management with regard to schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions as required.
? Perform work from provided technical documentation such as work instruction, blueprints, vendor manual, and other source data to obtain routing and termination. Use approved tooling?s to preassemble, locate and install required material.
? Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment in completing work assignments.
? Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
? Coordinate with direct management the setup of employee training manual and perform training as needed.
? Complete forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work within SAP system.
? Maintain responsibility to keep scrap at minimum levels.
? Follow all OSHA, safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications: Education:
HS diploma or equivalent. Some trade school desirable.

Experience:
Minimum of six years related experience. Computer programming knowledge and aircraft systems operation knowledge desirable.

Essential Functions:
Requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs. Must be able to move about in cramped and/or awkward positions. Must be able to move about freely in areas with moving aircraft and parts; work in areas where exposure to chemicals and fumes will occur. Must be able to handle heavy components. Requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat; and to operate various types of power tools. Must be able to operate a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment; and have working knowledge of shop mathematics. Able to travel away from the facility to accomplish assigned tasks.
