Service Manager, Power Systems Division
Position Profile
This position is responsible for ensuring the successful management of work performed in the service area. The incumbent is responsible for successful achievement of Service Department operational goals (revenue, profitability, expense control, safety compliance, effective management and development of human resources; and effective collaboration with other internal service managers, internal company resources and external customers to ensure that work is performed in alignment with the company vision, mission, and values.
* Plan, monitor and control regional service activities to ensure alignment with the company mission and core business values to achieve established regional service objectives and business unit forecasts.
* Select, develop and evaluate regional service personnel to ensure commitment, competence and human resource availability.
* Model, reinforce and monitor safe work practices to ensure that work environment hazards and lost time accidents are reduces and/or eliminated.
* Problem Solving Expertise: Identifying and defining problems/goals including scope and sequence of priorities for attainment; selecting and implementing alternative solution strategies; and supervising resources, constraints, and contingencies.
* Supervisory/Administrative Skills: Basic set of supervisory skills involved in the efficient administration of this function including directing, implementing, motivating / communicating, and evaluation the services it provides for the organization.
* Technical Expertise: Professional knowledge, skills and experience in this field relative to the further effective performance of the organization.
* Achievement of Service Department business plan budget
* Vision, Mission and Values alignment results
Responsibilities
All Service Department personnel; union / nonunion development; Service Department Sales/Profit Budgets; Service Department objectives. Safety/EPA regulations; customer/Interdepartmental relations; warranty expanse; policy. Company lead for Union procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Management. and or comparable industry related experience, min. 10yrs. Strong people, team building, communication and interpersonal skills are mandatory. Operational and financial growth strategies must be well above average, with a proven track record in both area's. Able to work in a fast paced office and shop environment, with high customer contact resolving issue win/win. Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Lotus needed.
