The Health Services Director provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff.

Responsibilities include:

• 
  
  Implement strategies to ensure case managers are trained and supporting care management per contract terms
  


• 
  
  Develop disease and case management programs for Mississippi
  


• 
  
  Develop functional, market level, and/or site strategy, plans, production and/or organizational priorities
  


• 
  
  Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems outside own team

Skills / Requirements

Qualifications:

• 
  
  BS degree or equivalent in education and experience
  


• 
  
  Experience with managing clinical services for Medicaid patients
  


• 
  
  Solid project management skills
  


• 
  
  Effective management skills -- organization, planning, budgeting, setting goals and objectives
  


• 
  
  Ability to build and manage a team of both local and teleworker employees
  


• 
  
  Need to understand the business impacts of their programs, such as medical management and utilization management
  


• 
  
  Manage both their program team as well as collaborate across required functional areas, such as working with the ICCT team
  


• 
  
  Excellent leadership skills
  


• 
  
  Good verbal and written communication skills
  


• 
  
  Good interpersonal skills
  


• 
  
  Ability to resolve problems in a positive way
  


• 
  
  Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity towards target population
